Australian owned and managed, I created Pet Stays due to my love of animals. Having to put my own Labrador into a caged kennel some years back, I found this quite distressing for my dog Zest and myself.
After chatting to people I realised this was a common concern for loving pet owners. With a growing demand for pet hugs, walks and care at an affordable price, in a reliable, safe environment, I proudly created Pet Stays.
An opportunity arose for me when I was made redundant after 15 years working for Qantas Airways in June 2015. After caring for my father Richard who sadly passed away this same year from Motor Neurone Disease (MND), I chose to look at my life and work balance in a very different way. I want to give something back to MND and the pet community and their families.
Our aim is to ensure pet owners find a trusted local pet sitter when they go away or even for pet daycare and walks.
